Default throttle body?

Ha s anyone purchased and installed a polished or ported throttle body? I have seen a couple for $425 to $995 and they claim 12 to 20 hp increase. Arrington says theirs is 90mm and gives 819 cfm at wot. Any feed back?

Default RE: throttle body?

On Moparaccesories site a few months back they had the 90mm but pulled saying that it was pushing too much air and they couldnt reprogram the computer enough to take advantage of it. They pulled it and put an 85mm saying it was better and good for about 15 hp overall. Now I see they have the 90mm once again for sale. I have an order for the 90mm to be installed with the CAI from the dealer when THE CAR comes in. In speaking with a Chrysler engineer in an online forum he said that the Throttle body and CAI combo should be good for about 25 - 40 hp overall with a tuner etc.

C & L Performance has done extensive dyno-testing on the 6.1 Hemi. With their cold air intake and the existing 3.5" throttle body, the air flow is 935 cfm. With a 4" throttle body, it increases to 1,015 cfm.

(Note- The cai is good for 18 hp without a tune or cat back).

Just installed my C&L CAI today and it looks and sounds Sexy! What a difference when I loaded the Predator tune on the car. The performance of the car is now super smooth and the souuund of the exhaust.... Even being stock, huge difference Would recommend to anyone Marylandspeed.com
