Default TTX Perf Tires Delay

Just got off the phone w/dealer.

He has read that there is a delay due to the TTX high performance tires and scheduling vehicles with this package will resume in November.

GRRRRR, but at least this may be a reason.

Anyone in the know on this?

I think the guys with the 08s are burning up these tires faster than expected and Goodyear can't keep up.

My salesman said he's offered to have customers get cheaper tires "they could just burn off" FOR FREE then get the performance tires installed when they become available. He said several people have refused to take the offer, preferring instead to wait on their Challengers just for the tires. [&:]

I mentioned changing orders to all season standard SRT offering and I will buy new performance ones when available, but my dealer said since I'm D status, can't be changed.

I live in the town that little house on the prairie was filmed. On the way to the set they have a great test road that I can see a couple miles each way. I have been using it for test and tune. I picked up a dry wall screw in the sidewall of my passenger front tire, and have been waiting for at least a month on a replacement tire. I am on waiting lists at two places in my town. It was very close to tread, but no one would fix it. I have a plug in it, and have not lost a pound of air. Just wont do high speeds until I get it replaced.

I guess its a good excuse to change all 4 :-)
