What color interior would you like to see in your new Challenger?

What color would you like those ribbed seats to be?

RE: What color interior would you like to see in your new Challenger?

I like a light tan color myself. I want my interior to have a luxury appearance in the color choices to contrast with the sporty design. This way I get both the sporty inside with the luxury setting in the color theme.

RE: What color interior would you like to see in your new Challenger?

I agree, relatively light color, does not fade and does add the touch of luxury. Black is too dark (and gets too hot) for my taste. Tan is a good choice, my preference slants a little more to the light grey, which is what I have in my Magnum right now. I had a '73 (back in the day) with white interior, and while I liked the white, it seemed more difficult to keep clean... ...or, maybe I was just more of a slob then :D

RE: What color interior would you like to see in your new Challenger?

Nothing says muscle like black. Tan is for homeowner associations...bland & non offensive. This is not a luxury car...it's a muscle car.

White? Sorry, no hospital room colors for me and definitely hard to clean.

Yeah, black is hot...I live in Phoenix & will endure it. If I can get it my one after market accessory is remote start so I can fire it up from my office 5 minutes before I go outside & have the A/C chilling it.

RE: What color interior would you like to see in your new Challenger?

I've given this a lot of thought and it's TRIPLE black for me or bust!! Like my fellow Arizona resident, I'll endure the the heat of the valley for the sweet muscle car look of bad *** black, paint, stripes, and interior.

Also remote start is like a CD player too me, standard equipment, all my cars have it..

For me I hope there is some sort of two tone color for contrast that might match an exterior strip or something.

Purple and Pink.

RE: What color interior would you like to see in your new Challenger?

I would absolutely LOVE a Plum Crazy over white... but I seriously doubt that combo will ever happen. I guess I'd take a black interior if I HAD to ... I just hope they offer something OTHER than the usual black or dull-as-dishwater gray. [sm=smiley23.gif]

I really hope they keep that ribbed seat design with the same shape and texture (as in the concept),
and they don't put a bunch of stale sponge seats in it.

white on white for me ... I have a '74 triple white probably 'cause I really like Vanishing Point . Can you imagine a new
Challenger in the movie w/a new Camaro slamming into the dozers at the end?

mocca brown; similar to this. I agree with RLSH700, I would like performance and a little luxury.

You know, I would agree that all ABS plastic, in black, wold be true to '70's design. But I'd like a splash of color as in the 2002 Thunderbird. Like a body color matchign seat inserts, or dash and door trim.

i second. plum crazy with white. one of the reasons i fell in love with mopar was cause of the wild colors they offered, they cant go all conservative black on a car that was born in one of the wildest and outrageous eras.

Matching embroidery with the outside color would be nice.

I'd like to see the seats almost identical to the concept black w/ a embroridered stripe matching the exterior paint the same on the seatbelys wouldnt be a bad thing either.

Good point. They do look good when they match each other.

I think a black/ orange combination (stripes on the seat and/or back rest) would look really good for the hemi orange and silver exterior cars.

I want my seats to match whatever the exterior color is. Possibly with black inserts. I love that look on the mustang.

Okay you had me sold on the red, but my eyes are burning and I can barely see regarding the other two options.

Lol well that's why I mentioned the black inserts. Tones it down a bit. But seeing as I'll probably be getting a red one anyway. . . .

But if I had my way with a green one you'd be wearing sunglasses in my car :D

The red is exactly what my `05 GT looks like...it has the interior upgrade package and the interior color accent package...take a look:

seems like a real tight fit in those back seats

Mustang have always been tight in the back seat.

Justinec101 01-08-2008 05:30 PM

RE: What color interior would you like to see in your new Challenger?

Yeah when I test drove one I put my seat into the comfortable driving position for me and it was literally touching the backseat. Even putting it up as far as I could without cramping myself in only left 1 or 2 inches. Unless you're friends with a lot of paper dolls nobody's sitting back there. I'm sure you could get a 3rd person in behind the passenger though.

Hopefully the Challenger will have a usable back seat.

Jeremiah 29:11 01-08-2008 05:33 PM

RE: What color interior would you like to see in your new Challenger?

My old Challenger back in the 70's had plenty of back seat to be able to go on double dates. I just had to air up the shocks so the wheel wells would not rub the side walls on my tires. I used to tell my friends in the back seat to lose weight. The girls never liked that comment and I would ususally get hit in the head. LOL!

lol yea my buddy has an 02 mustang gt i have sat in the back on the passenger side and it wasn't to cramped

Was anybody sitting in the passenger seat and was it pushed all the way forward.

JJMPB 01-08-2008 05:55 PM

yes there was an no it wasn't pushed al the way forward

RE: What color interior would you like to see in your new Challenger?

My son has a 2006 Mustang GT and when somebody is sitting in the passenger seat, the only way to sit in the back is to lay across the back seat.

Good if you want to go to sleep.

well i guess cause i am only 5'7" 140 lbs unless there is a little more room in the back of the 99-04 mustangs than the 05-08 mustangs

Albeeno 01-09-2008 12:42 PM

RE: What color interior would you like to see in your new Challenger?

The amount of additional room in the rear seat of the `05-Present Mustangs is pretty negligible. Having owned a `99 and now an `05 I speak from experience.

RE: What color interior would you like to see in your new Challenger?

On business travel a couple of weeks ago in So Cal, I rented the Shelby GT-H convertable for a few days. It was a great car but in addition to the back seat being tight for the third person in the car, the brake light mounted on the roll bar was virtually blinding to him during evening drives.

Would love to have color inserts that match the body color with the main color being a carbon fiber black color leather so it matches the hood stripes.

More important than the colors is the desire for Dodge to execute the prototype interior as close as possible so that it is a unique offering inside and out.

White, White, White!!! After that: tan or red. A friend of mine has a red on red C5 Vette and it looks awesome. The tan would look great with black, red, orange, and white exteriors. Dodge, give us some color choices, PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
