What should I do? HELP!
It is not an emergency...nor urgent but I was wondering what you guys thought or could advise me.
Im holding off for a late 09 b5 blue challenger. Catch is I have to get it around sept october of 09 because that is when my truck is finally paid off and i can use it as a down payment.Do you guys think that If i order a b5 blue when available it will come in around that time or do you think i should just order a stone white and paint it in a classic color...sublime green ect ect. Or should i just order a 2010 model and maybe a 6.4 if available. The main concern is I want the car as soon as my other one is paid off.
thanks,

No one knows anything really about the B5 Blue paint yet.
I heard a rumor (keyword: rumor) with 0 proof to back it up from one of my local dealers that Dodge put B5 as "late availability" because the winner of the #43 auction car was pissed that people would be able to simply select B5 Blue when he had believed the #43 auction car to be one-of-a-kind. Due to a potential/pending lawsuit, they may not be offering B5 at all.
Again, completely unfounded rumor with 0 proof to back it up. In fact I'd say I have proof against it that the salesman seemed retarded and I later withdrew my '08 deposit from my dealer due to lack of communication on their part. However, an interesting thought nonetheless as I can see someone forking hundreds of thousands for the #43 car getting upset about it.
The only thing we know for sure is that the early '09 pamphlet listed late availability and the leaked Chrysler docs did not mention B5 Blue whatsoever despite that they put the SE model down as late availability.
Just food for thought.

I thought exactly what you said that it wouldnt be available due to the fact that the guy who won the auction would be pissed and so would I.On the other hand the brochure which i got in the mail does say late availability. I assume they will do what they do with the chargers. Limited edition colors. Also they may not be able to sue chrysler because the auctioned car was officially the only b5 blue 2008 challenger for the year 2008 so i think it will go through.
keep bringin in the advice especially bout the stone white and repainting it to whatever color i want. any thoughts?

for some reason the b5 blue in the (late availability option) on the pamphlet look darker if you ask me... i don't know why but the b5 blue on the auction looked more powdery...
ehhh limited or not i have a dealer who will sell at msrp and they will not price that car over 50k msrp or ill slap them in the face.....cuz the shelby gt500 msrp is 39k although it sells for far more or they try to sell it for that much. i might just get an r/t and save some gas and have somewhat good power stock
CHRYSLER USE MDS OR SOMETHING ELSE AND MAKE THE 6.1 JUST A TAD BIT FUEL EFFICIENT!.........plz no one come in here ranting your buying a big engine it will waste gas... i know that but they should do some more research into getting something similar for the 6.1 even though the 6.1 is a performance engine.
oh and the b5 blue in the auction was more powdery because it was a photoshop. you want to see what b5 looks like look at the b5 blue charger srt8 that will give you a sign of things to come and yes its darker than the photoshop

Your car is more than transportation. It's a reflection of your personality.
It can also be an investment (original), or a pallette for you to express yourself (modifications). Which way you go should depend on what you want from the car.
If you're going to modify (customize) the car, try to do what compliments the car - the shape, the performance, and the attitude.
If you want to use the car for value, order it the way you want to keep and drive it.
Whatever you decide, know you're starting with the most classic of retro-musclecar designs.
Try to avoid turning the Mona Lisa into Mimi Bobeck by putting too much makeup on her.

What about the first statements from dodge was they weren't building any 09 orange srts. Now they say we are listening to what you want & hemi orange is available noiw for the 09's, were we misled or what?
misled no....dodge builds cars and the arrogance of some owners who think they have rights when it comes to numbers pertaining to a particual color or engine size is comical....hemi orange was and is a popular color and dodge needs the $$$$$$$$$ right now (truck sales are tanking aka gas is $4.50 in chicago) so it is not surprising the hemi orange would be offered again...want to be speshul...buy a rembrandt
ps...want more colors..email dodge..they get enuff emails/letters they most likely will offer your color choice...in my opinion...deep water blue looks far better then b5 blue ever did..panther pink is hidious..lemon twist yellow and sassy green are ok

Its not a matter of me wanting a color and dodge not offering. they are offering b5 blue it was stated and is in the brochure...I was just asking your opinion on what month you believe the b5 blue would be coming in since it says late availability.
thanks for your advice anyhow,
much appreciated... might just get a stone white or b5 blue srt8 or get a deep sea blue r/t
