Whats the worst gas mileage you've got?
So we know the best mileages. we're pretty solid that around 20-23mpg is about the best you can pull right? give or take 2mpg?
so yesterday i got curious and wanted to see how low i could get the MPG down. So i reset the meter and started tearing up pavement...
I got mine down to 7mpg but only for about 10 minutes. i killed the half tank i had in about about 30 minutes(roughly), i averaged 11mpg for the whole tank.
i had the traction control off the whole time. if that makes a difference to anyone.
another good question, you think the stability program affects mpg?

I'd say, trev, that you got pretty poor performance on the gas-wasting. It used to be possible to obtain 9 mpg with just NORMAL city driving with a 440 Magnum. I guess if you truly want to squander fuel, you'll have to go with a classic Mopar.
Although I have never checked my mileage by doing the math at fill-up... the computer calculates it to be 15.9 over the life of the car to this point in time.
Considering how hard I drive this car I think it is pretty darn good. Pretty much always accelerate, brake, corner and in general drive harder and faster than any car I have ever had the pleasure to drive. Gas mileage for me was not a factor in buying the car though. Thats what the Neon is for...
While I don't have my Challenger "YET". In my 2000 Dakota 4x4 with the 4.7 magnum I have averaged 14.3 mpg since I bought it 8 years ago, so I cant wait to get my R/T and see how much MORE mpg I get with it. Over all though I am a pretty conservative driver but I do step on it at freeway onramps just to get up to merging speed.
