Default Wheely nice wheels

I know when I see the production Challenger for the first time in a showroom that there will deffinately be some
disappointment for me, I say this because I have a strong feeling that the wheels on the Concept version of the car would be very expensive to manufacture in a production enviroment due to the design of them hence I bet you will see the current SRT wheels off the Charger on the Challenger, wich are still a nice wheel but not as trick as the custom ones on the Challenger. It's a shame because I feel that this is one of the cocepts strongest features that sucks you into really liking the concept along with the exaust outlets wich I bet will be round not rectangular. All and all those are things that we can change in time with some more cash, does any one else feel the same way as I do about this or other aspects of the production car verses the concept?

Ya, I don't think the rims on the concept will make production version, the concept wheels are to big for the wheel wells, they have to be careful when driving it cause the wheels rub the inner fender wells when going over bumps. They could down size them if they want to about an inch. I guess the only way we will find out is when the production model is at the 2008 Chicago Auto Show, unless we have an insider here who could sneak a shot of the actual rims they use, if they aren't the standard SRT rims they use now. I do like the rims on the concept and hope there is a way they can use them.

I too as well like the concept wheels, but they just need to down size them so they fit and for performance.

Here are some of my other comments/pictures when I saw the car last April:

I agree they should keep the same rims but down to an 18' rim with fatter tires.

I agree.... I would like the opportunity to get great wheels oem. But if i have to buy after market wheels so be it. I am already trying to figure out how i can put wider tires on anyway.

I like the concept wheels but don't think they'll make it to production. I'd like to see an alloy version of the Rallye rims of old. I don't think that the Challenger will have the same rims as any other car in the lineup though.

If the concepts are not available, that might be one of the first things I do is get 18" concepts in the after market if they are available with the same brushed aluminum look.
