It has been reported that April 21 is the factory start date for the 2008 SRT Challengers. Some retail models, however, will roll off the assembly line starting a week or two before.

some people prefer auto over stick, plus it takes a really good driver to shift perfectly to get better numbers than an auto..... but to each their own.... ill be first on the block in miami gunning it with one foot .... plus i refuse to drive a stick in miami traffic...[:'(]

First of all welcome to the site, SlowAJ. I would estimate sometime after the summer, but I'm not certain. My question to you is which engine is she interested in getting? Going from a 99 Cougar to a Hemi powered V8 is quite a jump. The reason why I ask this is as far as I have heard the V8s will be the only ones getting manuals and the 3.5L V6 will be auto only from what I understand at this point. Just wanted you to know up front if she was not interested in getting a V8, but if so excellent. Out of curiosity, which engine does she have in the Cougar anyways?
