Okay, here are links pertaining to the rail embargo. Does anyone know if the west coast shipments are going through the Chicago gateway? If so, seems were out of luck for now. Also, if so, is Chrysler working on alternate shipping routes.
Please, those that know better than I, enlighten us on this subject.
Thanks,
Dave

hey budman, is the 'body vendor' also working today?? It would be great if someone could get some pics of the 'body vendor' facilities...I used to drive by a Chrysler minivan storage lot every day on the way to work. The lot is about 1/2 mile from the nearest rail terminal, and for about 3 months there was a 'body vendor' set up there upfitting minivans for the USPS. they were working under huge tents!!!

Hi Budman,
Thanks for the shipping info. Joani mentioned ours, Southern California, are going through Kansas.
Are we still passing through Chicago, or is the Kansas route avoiding the problem?
Am I reading the embargo sheets properly, no automobile by rail shipments at all through the Chicago hub?
Thanks a lot,
Dave

Due to the website problems, I gave up on posting this message the other day...Wednesday, June 11th I was westbound on I-80 south of Chicago, near Joliet and spotted a single Black Challenger in the lower, furthest rear position on a car carrier. The carrier was heading westbound too. I was able to drive right next to it for sometime, but I did not take a picture. I was too busy talking to my brother about it. Ironically we were already talking about the Challenger when he noticed it just ahead. Anyway, this does not jive with Budman's post that they must be on the top of the car carrier. I do not recall all the other cars on this carrier, but none were Challengers.
