You Lucky Folks ! You're close to receiving your dream car soon. I was told quite a few months ago that all the 2008 Challenger's were sold. In the last week I've tried to order a 2009 SRT8 from dealers in my area (Inland Empire, SoCal), only to be told that I would have to go through the same bidding war for the limited production of this car that you folks went through. They seem to have a perceived idea that the 2009 models will be worth even more than the cars you are anxiously awaiting.

What ??

Surely, we know that you folks lucky enough to have been able to order a 2008 will definitely have a unique classic.

But why, in a depressed economy will dealers try to limit availability? Surely their desire to increase profit from each sale will have an adverse effect on demand to the factory.

This definitely has a negative impact on Chrysler and companies developing aftermarket products for the SRT8.

If anyone knows of a dealer willing to offer the 2009 Challenger SRT8 at suggested retail in SoCal, please let me know. Thanks.

PHANTOM get in touch with Moss Bros San Brado Joani works their and i know for fact they have alot on order for 09 that is were i got my 08 from and i live all the way up here in 29 Palms. i think if i remember right they have 8 or 9 09s on order my salesman showed me on the puter when i paid for my 08.

Would one of you kind folks check on 8H291045. It seems to be stuck in quality control since the 14th of June. My dealer is in a very small town and does not seem to understand how to track the vehicle beyond the Chrysler tracking site.

Have you checked the challenger tracker this morning. My car completed trim on the 11th. It entered the inspection process on the 12th. This morning I checked for an update it now say the inspection process started on the 22nd. How can a car be built and sit there for 12 days before inspection. But it doesn't surprise me anymore. Its just one more piece of .... they are handing out.

 

JOANI, BUDMAN... Good Morning, still trying to find out what might be going on with my Challenger, Vin # 8H301482 which still is not coming up on the tracker. As you might recall it was supposed to be scheduled for 6/9 build date and 7/1 delivery to dealer, then fell off the tracker. Since then called customer service in India and from what I could try to make out through the thick accent and poor english it is now in BG?? Really want to find out what might be going on with my Challenger. Thanks for any help you might be able to provide. Cheers!
