I am paying (financing all but $4500) $45,893.00, I got 60 months @ 8% = $890 a month thru Dodge. Base quote was $36,838 that is a few $$$ less MSRP of $37,320, I added $2115 for extended warranty and got socked with $2900 in dealer delivery and overseas shipping. I have all three options that cost $1840, again about $100 under the MSRP.
Yes the $2900 shipping looked a bit high but that is $675 to get it to the port in the US, $940 to get it across the pond, $699 to get it from the port in Europe to me. They also include a $453 Customs and titling charge and a stock handling fee of $195. So all in all, I feel okay with all of that.
I got my VIN today can anyone tell me what it means…build date, dash number, "D" status, etc.

For those who have ordered an 08, next week will start the ball rolling if there aren't any delays. Those who are lucky enough to be in D1 status will have there cars built next week. Some of the lower vin# in D status will move to D-1 status. Of course if,if there aren't any delays. Lets all cross our fingers.

ResumeSpeed posted the very same message in response to an "09 ordering and pricing" comment in the Rumors thread.
I took from that he meant that '09 info would be released on the 28th. Is this a coincidence, or is the date siginificant for both?
Either way, I'm psyched! ResumeSpeed has proven to be a reliable source.

Hello everyone! I've been lurking here for some time figured I'd register and share. My Black 08 SRT Challenger went to D1 last night. Build date and shipping date are firm for 05/02. It looks like I have the second lowest VIN, for what ever that means, it's 8H289148 . Anyways, I hope a bunch more of you get good news as well.

Just called my dealer again today and he says there is no change from last week. Their corporate letter indicates no Challenger deliveries in April 2008.
