Yes I agree, I once owned a Cuda twice, red & black a real beauty. I was 18 the first stint and around 21 the second. Man do I have some stories and memories in that car.

My parents would never allow me to own an evil Mopar when I was in high school under thier roof... by the time I was out of high school Mopar was really not building cars that did it for me like the old Muscle Mopars so never really persued one for whatever reason.

Still remember grade school as a crossing guard there was a black on black 'Cuda that sat on the corner I used to patrol. I remeber just staring in awe at that car. Man... I was in love! [sm=smiley27.gif] [sm=smiley27.gif] [sm=smiley27.gif]

#2203 is at home. I went to Hapeville, Ga and picked it up from the rail yard and brought it home. It draws as much attention as people have said. This is Chevy country but everybody wants to see this car. It is worth the wait and more than you expect. I stopped and filled the tank and drove 47 miles with many stop signs and red lights, it delivered 20.6 mpg with a couple of burst to 70or 80. I would not have thought that would be the case. It seems it will get about the same mileage as my old Acura. Time will tell. The stereo is out of this world,then feel is great, brakes, tires, handling all is great!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It got to go clean it up since I got it from the rail yard. I must take it to the dealer tomorrow to let them se it.

I lived in Alaska for 20+ years. About 12 years ago I found a 1970 440-6 Cuda untouched with 32,000 miles. It had been locked in a SeaLand container on Kodiak Island since 1978. I got the car for 8500.00 and paid 600 to ship off the island. It had rust, but nothing was missing. 10,000 later I had it all but restored. I rebuilt the 440 and it was still on a stand, but all was ready to install. At that time I did the same thing I do now. I make performance converters for performance, and OE applications. I sold my machine shop and invested in the second biggest gold mine in Alaska. Two years that Cuda sat and did nothing.
Lost my ass in mining and sold the car for 20,000. That was in 1999. I had to sell 4 homes, and many assets to cover my stint in mining.

I learned much over the years it took to recover, but regret selling that Cuda more then anything else.
I have owned many mopars in my life, but this Challenger is for the Cuda I lost.

Great story Andre... kind of sad... almost tragic in a sense but great none the less. It's stories that truely make our lives, and stories such as that really make the man. Thanks for sharing! Cheers!

Well I have ordered the following and it is scheduled for delivery tomorrow; challenger floor mats, cargo mats, door sill, car cover, carbon fiber pistol grip shifter handle, and the mopar cold air intake was backordered. All of this was in anticipation, since the car has been built a while, that it would have been delivered this week. Now the bad part is when will my car be delivered? That seems to be the question, the car has no future on VV and is currently stashed in a parking lot being bypassed by everycar built afterwards. Nice planning and leadership dodge.

My VV is now so long that only one line of future remains. I have seen JS for so long I added it to my vin....

Hey 70sguy... sounds exactly like my order except the pistol grip. I am still holding out for something like the concept had. Spent about $850 on this stuff... shipped today other than possibly the CAI which I believe is backordered from my source as well. I am certain they will all look cool in the garage though...
