Mach 1,

The tracker doean't work if you have an order name. It was designed to offer relief to the 1 800 # operators, us challenger orderers were wearing them out.

Sam,

Just be patient, the car will be worth it once it arrives. Hopefully you won't rquire by-pass surgery before then due to a blown head gasket or seal.

I agree with you guys on the handling by dodge. I was in the same hole you guys are in now before it was called the black hole. My first VV said it would be at the dealer 05/04, got it 2 months later. But the car is everthing you hopeing for and I would hate to see you"ll give up. Believe me the car is worth ever day you have to wait.

Hal,

Like I said I haven't bailed and don't intend to. There is no sense in sugar coating the truth though. I would just like for someone which I know they do, from chrysler or dodge to read these posts and get this mess straightened out. It is not the workers that build the cars or engineers, its the ones that do all of the planning and shipping that has it all screwed up.

I have paper work from dealer. I put 1k deposit and my name was on the order when I started calling 800#. Now 800 say's no name and for me to call dealer. dealer says they have not changed anything so my name should still be on order and car should ship 7-10. Maybe the dealer is f'ing me. I have no idea what is going on.

Hal,

We all know there will be bumps in the road on first year models especially. I lived with these same delays as everyone, and didnt really have a problem with that. The wiring issue, loading on a truck issue those were understandable. But, if you were in our shoes and your car was built and sitting in a parking lot and others being built afterwards and shipping, receiving your badge numbers you would feel the same way. Then you being the first car ordered at your dealer and they receive their second car before their first isn't right. There are probably some dealers that have recived their 3rd car. You have your cars with a relatively low VINs and were some of the first on this forum to receive theirs, which is great. I am really truly glad for you!

I know how a lot of us are feeling, but trust me the car is worth the wait. I had the pleasure of taking Joani's car around the block. I can't wait til its mine, Joani's and whoever else in the area, driving side by side down the freeway.......windows down......stereo blaring.....smiling ear to ear.

Can't wait, Dave

Also.......
Chrysler could have defiantely handled this a lot better. However, one of the problems is that they allowed us partial entry to the behind the scenes business of car building. If they had just announced that all cars would be delivered by end of summer, then we all would be happy. Unfortunately, we have been privy to a lot of problems and setbacks. I am sure they're not too happy either. After we all have our Challengers, I believe most of us will just add these stories to the history of their car.

Good luck to all!

Also, if possible could I get an update? 8H302160

2 pages of VV and my car is still on Pillete Road...

Will I jump ship? No way! We kick Dodge and perhaps they earned it with some. I was told the car would begin production in mid to late fall, and it did. I want it bad, but that's a good indication that it will be all I hope. I have yet to see a single person who has received a Challenger say it was not worth the wait.

So sit back and sniff glue.... The black outs make the time go faster :-Þ
