Who has a 2008 Challenger on order?

RE: Who has a 2008 Challenger on order?
Lets do some math, oooooh that will be fun, just for kicks and giggles, 6,400 + 500 = 6,900 less production last week (144) less today (125) = 6,631 units divide by 45 (work days left prior to mandatory 2 week plan closing) =148 units a day must be made. So where do you fit in this with your badge number and production date? day 1 = 1 thru 70, day 2 71 thru 144, day 3 145 thru 270, day 4 271 thru 419, day 5 ( Apr 30) 420 thru 568, etc, May 6 888 thru 1036. This should give you an idea of what you badge number will be. Of course non of this is factual, just a guess of mine, via simulation of post in this forum, if of course they are somewhat accurate. I have no idea of how many cars can be built a day. If they can't run around 150 per day, 08 cars will be built on in the month of AUG. 6,900 divide by 75 = 92 work days, divide by 21 days/mo= 4 months May, June, July, Aug. If they run into Aug, some deliveries will be in Sept. which is not good. So something has to pick up real soon or the 08's want be that special as the 09's will be here. Just my take on things

This looks like that new fan dangled fuzzy math. I can just hear GW saying "fuzzy math". I like your math though.
August? for an 08? Heck the 09's will be kissing right up next to them thar 08's. I guess they'll just have to delay the 09's then.

That is exactly why I believe the o8"s will be built before the mandatory 2 week vacation. Either that or they will have to delay the 09's which you would affect 30k people in lieu of 6900, but we will see. RLD, sort of indicated that there may have been 1 to 4 cars built last week, with production cranking up this week. The same fuzzy math will apply. We just really and truly don't know what has actually been built yet. So we speculate, and we speculate. I believe as big as this is once they (Dodge) gets their act together we will know, I'm really not sure where they are with the whole production process.

I think Bob Frederick was saying that production was starting this week after having troubles last week. As for as production, I toured the corvette plant about two months ago, they were only running one shift(8 hours) and we were told that they were producting from 150 to 175 cars per day. Hope this helps.

So Joani, come on, tell us. Are you starting to lose sleep at night?! Anticipation, its making you wait. 8^) I would be beside myself. Have you checked out any global mapping web sites to see if you could aim a Satellite on the train? Catch a space-eye view?!
I am so excited, I can hardly wait to see the first Challenger show up at my local dealer. Though I passed on the '08 Challenger, I still want to touch and sit in it. The last one I got close to was in Nevada, at SEMA. My cousin got me a ride in one. Man it had stiff suspension. I wonder if all the SRT8's will be that way. Jars your teeth. It is soo wicked (I think that is New England speak for "fantastic") cool.
Cheers

Joani,
Any idea why the dealer and dodge say it is D status if they are being shipped? I asked the dealer to check vin vision as you suggested but he said it still indicated D status. Does yours still indicate D status?
Thanks!
