I sure hope you"re right Phantom. I have yet to see another one out on the road other than Rubber Man Mike"s when we meet up some where. Cant wait to see them out roaming the streets in the wild they way they were meant to... :)

Thanks for the reply mopar2ya... I sat in a Black 2008 at a nearby dealer who I had been trying to buy one from. Played with the gizmo's and such. Started it 3 times. Did not get to drive it, but was convinced after that, that I needed one of these. That was back in late May or early June. I don't post much, because until I take delivery I won't really know the true feel of owning and driving this car. I know you post a lot on this forum. I don't remember how long you have had yours. But I look forward to sharing my experience once I get mine and learning from the other members how to enhance it.

I sent them an email friday. If I dont get a reply sometime today (Monday) Im going to start looking up upper management phone numbers and start calling. "Hello? Mr. Press? Yeah, this is Scott. Where is my Freaken Car!"

On a side note, thanks for putting up with my rantings lately. I am learning to deal with my frustration by taking it out on my drum set. The neighbors love me.

Do Not Hold Your Breath. You Will Die Waiting. Sorry to sound harsh but my 09' R/T 6 speed has been at D for a month and every week my build date moves back a week.



SkiDs, I would send them another E-mail, you must have gotten lost in the fold. When this is all said and done I plan on dropping Mr. Press and Mr. Nardeili a line and letting them know what I think about their "customer service". I'm definitely with you on the frustration side. I am so sick of my car's build date moving back every week instead of forward. I have starting snapping at people who say "it's just a car" "it’ll get here soon" and when people do bring up the car I tend to drop an Involuntary F bomb every time....

I hear ya Cuda. My frustration level peaked a few hours ago, and I could hardly concentrate on work.

I finally got a response a little while ago. I guess I missed them before they left for the weekend. They gave me a new ship date of 9/25/08. My original DELIVERY date was 9/16/08. All in all, not too bad of a delay I guess. It should be in the port by mid to late November, and be in Germany in December. I wont be back from Afghanistan until January-ish so It sort-of works out I guess. I was hoping to be the one that picks it up from the prep-center, but I guess Ill have to get a Power of Attorney so my friend can do it for me. My dealer said he will store it in a locked area covered if I want, so Ill take him up on the offer. I think he is planning a big media unveiling of the car since it will be the first in my area.

Its good to know SOMETHING, even if it isnt exactly what I wanted to hear. My blood pressure is finally dropping a bit, and I can lay off the drum set a bit. The neighbors will be happy. ;)

I am getting a bit fustrated, but I was expecting to see this after watching the mess with the 08s. So we should be prepared for this wait. I have been in D for a month now, and I havent dropped any F bombs about Dodge yet, even though I do see Challengers slowly begin to fill dealership lots. I knew that I was in for this wait, and that will only make it better when it gets here.

wrongway, its just my opinion of course but the area you are from along with the west coast seem to get the fastest deliveries. So my very wild guess is 2 to 3 weeks to St Louis. My 2009 R/T is also in KZ status and I don't really expect it till mid or late Oct here in New Jersey. Congrats and good luck on yours!! Fat Cat[sm=gears.gif]
