I just realized something else to worry about
There was a press release a while back where Dodge said that the people that ordered an 08 and were unable to get one would get priority on the 09s
Im fine with that, IF it is legit
With the abundance of cars in the show rooms, most have probably canceled their orders and purchased one
This leaves those canceled orders in the hands dealers
Meaning, they probably didnt get canceled and the first 09 SRT8s will most likely be going to dealers to continue gouging us
Also, who is to say that someone couldnt have ordered their 08 AFTER i ordered my 09?
Im probably just paranoid, but what do you guys think?


edit: Hey it worked! I got rid of the periods and just separated the lines with enter!

 

My dealer keeps checking on my order for me, he said they were being stingy on allocations so still stuck in C.

The dealer did get 4 - 08s so I expect it won't take too long.

Got my VIN today, YIIIIPPPPEEEE. Now if I could get someone (pretty please) to run it so I can get the rest of the info as in build date etc. that would be wonderful. I tried using the link that was provided but it bombs out and will not bring back any data.

Now if only I can get a VV report and see some solid (?) dates I will be one totally happy camper. May be not as happy as if the car was here already but certainly pretty darn happy.

Jeff, thanks for the heads up although getting a build date, estimated ship date etc. is what I am after. So far everyone, Dodge, dealer and district manager have all said that mid September to end of the month is when I should expect to see my car. I know, I know, its been said before to many others but that is why I ask for a VV so I can be sure.

 

Just got back from my dealer. While he still has no VON for me, his tracker does have my status. Apparently, as of the 11th I am in C status, and I should have a VIN by the end of the week. This is good news, as Ive been completely in the dark until now. I hope I get to D1 soon. That way I can check VV and find out if I have a chance of getting the car before I go back to Afghanistan.
