After two days at Brampton Downsview, my car is on the truck and moving again. I suppose the next stop will be Jefferson, Mi. Getting closer.

 

NUTS, I knew things couldn't be this easy when my dealer called this week & said that my Challenger had been built 6 weeks after I ordered it and was to be delivered today. Well, it did arrive at the dealership today, BUT... seems that they packed the hauler too tightly and the rear of my Challenger trunk lid and spoiler banged against the front end of the Challenger packed in behind it. Result: my car arrived at the dealer with a cracked rear spoiler and a dent in the rear trunk the size of my thumb. Dealer gave me the option to pay for the car today & drive it away as he orders a new spoiler & trunk lid OR to hold onto my $ & let the car stay at the dealer until they can get a trunk lid & spoiler. I chose the latter. Doggone, I just KNEW that getting it in 6 weeks was too good to be true....

 

that sucks! So sorry to hear about your situation....what color and goodies did you get? Besides the bad news....give us the good news.

 

fatcat, and a great big CONGRATS to you also! Looks like things finally broke open for us and a few others. Yes it was a happy day for sure as I am still apt to do a little happy dance when I walk! I just hope that Dodge doesnt have any issues over the next three weeks and my car gets here on time. I know it says ETA is estimated but the dealer says he got a firm delivery of the 19th. I asked if I could get there early in the AM when the truck arrives and he told me that he will let me know a few days in advance when he expects the truck so I can be there. I was so excited to see VV results today!

 

Base model 2009 R/T in stone white as my own Vanishing Point tribute car and as a match for my brother's 1972 numbers matching Challenger Rallye. It'll work out, it'll just take awhile longer (and I'm glad that if it had to be damaged, that the damage got done to a pair of parts that will be completely removed & replaced as opposed to having them put bondo in a quarter panel or roof, etc.).
