Ok folks latest update on my poor saga! Dealer ordered my "New" 6 speed SRT on Monday. He told me we had to wait until my "OLD NEW" one arrived so he could transfer it out of my name and free me up to order a new one. Well he talked to the regional guy and was told to go ahead and order the new one. So, he put in the order and since my name was already in system it should get put into line quickly. I changed the order last night to add the MyGig as I had left it out of my original order but after reading all of the posts about it, I decided I wanted it. So, I will put the new VON into the registry as soon as I get the new VON, which should be later today and I will start the new waiting countdown!

 

My car has made the trip from Brampton to Sterling Heights where it now sits. It is not scheduled for delivery to the dealer until Monday. What a bummer, my dealer is probably no more the 30 miles down the road but it's going to take 6 days to go that far. I called the dealer this morning and they are going to try to get it moved out quicker.

 

Well at least my original car is moving along now!!

Talked to my dealer again and they are working on getting my car out of the storage lot. I guess they have a few cars stuck in there that they want out now. Hope to get mine before the weekend but we'll see.

Well Brucer, Ive got good news (for me) and bad news. Good news is that I just got a PM from Notsure on the other forum. He says that, according to Bob Fredricks, his car, along with mine and Arixzona were the first MT SRTs to roll off the assembly line. And mine was most likely the very first!!! Unfortunately if this is true it means that the car on its way to you will, in fact, be an autostick.

NotSure also says that Bob thinks his car got carbon fiber stripes by accident. Meaning that he may have a collectors item on his hands as well! Kind of like a miss-stamped coin released from the mint. Now, I am not worried about re-sale value or collectibility, but it is a nice thing to know. Bob will be in contact with him when he gets more info.

 

SKiDs, yessir I saw that. Its another bummer for me too! lol. Anyway I am resolved in waiting for the new car and now I got to add the MyGig which I didnt for the first one and also can learn what mods are going to work better on the 09's from you guys that get yours before mine. I am glad yours is moving along quite well. I cant wait to hear your car has been deilvered as I know you can either! As for the stripes, I talked to my dealer about this and he is not sure either way. I have seen several 09's and they were all flat black stripes but in articles in magazines and a few other places as Youtube I have seen the stripes in Carbon fiber so I am not sure how they are coming out. as for rare, I wouldnt go so far as that because eventually you will be able to get them from a deler with no issues and people that deleted them on their order can add them in. Plus over time they will peel and crack and need replaced and carbon may not be availabe at that time. So, very hard to say. Now, my first SRT would be as the order form and build sheet say 6 speed and if it is an auto, that would be a rare car for sure.

 

IT'S HERE IT'S HERE!!! Just got a call from my dealer and they have my car! I can't go and get her until tomrrow afternoon... this is going to be the longest 24 hours ever!!! I feel like a 5 year old on Christmas eve!

 

Congrats, Cuda. I lucked out when mine came in. The dealer got it in the morning and I was able to pick it up about 5 p.m.
