RE: Why the rush to hurry up and wait for the 09's?
My first few cars were minimal horsepower cars. I had a 62 Corvair and a 67 Volkswagon. Both cars could get past 70 if they were ghoing down hill with a cyclone behind them. But, I did learn the good basics of car handling and good driver manners. I think that if I had my hands on a 400+ horsepower car I may not be here today to talk about my childhood. Now if we fast forward to around 19 years old..I started getting my hands on fast cars and with having spent a few years learning the basics and car control, I was able to drive those cars with enthusiasm and also responsibility. Knock on wood, 30+ years later and after having owned some of the legends of power and speed I have not wrecked a single one. Now, speeding tickets? Too many to count.

A Chevy 350 is enough for me. (Wohoo! I can take Drivers Ed. in a month! 84 Corvette here I come.)
