Woodward Dream Cruise
Why call it Chrysler display...MAN...it was CHALLENGER DISPLAY!!!!!
I took many photos, orange concept car (spokeperson had no details on production or price or powrtrain), banners, huge vinyl square made up to look like Lindburg model car kit, Roaming billboards, sexy girl models in front of large poster doing interview and posing for photo, special purchase Challenger poster with Woodward Dream Cruise speeding ticket, countdown clock, Huge video running on a loop including Vanishing Point footage, studio footage and Woodawrd Dream Cruise footage. Wish I had brought video cam to record that screen!!! I bet we see it again as a TV commercial.
Picked up my Challenger arm band Tattoos, and some poster sign in forms with Cahllenger picture. Merchandise tent had common challenger Tshirts. somone sadi Challenger deck of cards, but I did not find.
Lots of action!! Lots of ebody Challengers, mostly '71s
Some other Mopar Muscle, too.
Who else was there?? Mirada???

You guys are so lucky. I hope to get some scraps from your table, in the form of some pictures. I will make the Dream cruise next year for sure.

No news on the 2008 production Challenger? The SRT engineers, in a previous Chat session, said to pay attention to the Woodward Cruise for information.

RE: Woodward Dream Cruise
i was at the cruise, but i didnt make the trip to the chrysler display...i chalk it up to mixture of laziness on my part, and my lack of interest in their endless marketing games about the car.
im growing a bit jaded at their nonsense about the car...i want news, not fluff. i already have several shirts and posters, etc...i want real information, from dodge...not from a paid model/spokesperson who knows nothing more than i do about the car. i could put on a challenger shirt and stand next to it, and tell most people more about the car than the few people ive spoken to about it from dodge.
also, the lack of any "news" at the dream cruise, supports my theories on those SRT chats.

Autoblog has some good photos of the Dream Cruise. See:

However, nothing new on the Challenger. Just the concept car and the SS version were on display.

Post your photos to the Challenger flickr page http://flickr.com/groups/dodgechallenger/
Who knows...maybe they'll be used in the advertising.

RE: Woodward Dream Cruise
from the pictures, it looks like chrysler basically brought the display from the mopar nationals, and a few other odd vehicles, like the caliber rally car..even though they STILL havent made the srt4 model available...

Did you hear that the Challenger concept ran out of gas and was stranded on the side of the road? Apparently, the concept has a fake gas guage.
Some lucky guys got an up close look and got to push it.
