I am trying to find my first car. It was bought new at Holden's Dodge on Stewart Avenue in Atlanta, Ga. It was a 1971 Dodge Challenger, slant 6, butterscotch color. I don't even know how to start looking don't have the VIN anyone know how to help. Husband and sons are into chevy "yuk" restoration. I want to find my Challenger and restore it. I just know it is sitting in a junk yard somewhere waiting for me to find it. Please help.. thanks nursepatootie

 

Well, first welcome! Uhm.. do you have any old paperwork left on it? Maintence sheets/Oil change slips/anything? Thats a good start to find out the VIN.

 

No I don't have any paper work. I was 16 years old when parents purchased this car for me. I have found no paperwork. I do know it was financed through Chrysler Credit Corporation in 1971. I wrote to them but received no response.

 

I would call Chrysler Financial and see if they can look up the VIN for you.
