Congrats Rudy and Welcome to the forum. By far the best car I have ever had the pleasure of owning as well. The grin will keep you going for a while... and gas is on its way back down finally so hopefully we can all afford to drive them as well.
Cool number... good choice of color... however you should have gone for black. Theyre all good colors... just happens that black tends to be fastest... but you probably didnt know that.

And a quick question. I was one of the guys going 50 on the turnpike because the dealer told me to go very easy on the car for the first 300 miles because there is another type of oil in it. Is is true that I shouldn't smash untill 300 miles? Thank you for the welcome and i'm sure from prior forum use that you guys will be much more helpful then a dealer.

the dealer didn't say anything to me about a break in period but there were a couple of posts on here about it.I had mine to 140 in the first 150 miles LOL,the only MAJOR concern I think is to vary your speed don't hold the same revs all the time.by the time I had 700 miles I was at the 1/4 mile track.but I just did the 1000mile oil change at 900 miles

I have done a lot of investigating and I pretty much came to the point where I realized I was going to pay over sticker if I want an SRT8 and I would rather have the limited run so I went ahead and got it down to 9k over sticker. I payed a lot for this and I was really shocked that in this economy that dodge would really gouge the prices on a GAS GUZZLER. The car drives like a dream and this is my first V8 ever. Welcome and Congratulations on the purchase! I think I speak for everyone here when I say, for your first Dodge, you made one heck of a good choice. You paid a bit more than I would have been willing to. But if you can afford it, and you feel its worth the extra money, I say you made a good decision. See you in the forums.
