RE: stick or auto
Welcome Peppy!
We have the 2009 SRT8 6spd Black - LOVE IT!! The 6spd is AWESOME!! I'm sure the auto would be okay (haven't driven that one) - Being in control of it all - such as deciding when to shift - driving hard or just for fun - is what the 6spd is all about. The performance is incredible. But I'm sure most would say you can't go wrong with either - it's a Challenger.
Good luck in making a decision - I attached a pic of our baby[sm=shades.gif]

play around with it and you will find all kinds of stuff - New Member Area is a good start - then there is Regional forums as well as SRT8 forum - RT forum - appearance, engine, even off topic. Depending on how often you check in or what you want to learn - you could check Today's posts in the top right - or Posts since Last Login
Good Luck - Keep us updated on the progress of your purchase decision

RE: stick or auto
I dance with my cars. No, seriously. Every car we own is a manual shift. My RAM has a 5 speed and a free flowing aftermarket exhaust. There is nothing like pulling into a parking lot and taching it up to 4 grand and then lifting off the accelerator and listening to that barrel chested beast pop and snarl. Then clutch in and throttle blip. That is the stick-shift tango my friend. And then there's the thrill of catching the shift point just right; feeling the tranny load the engine up as you catch the cam just right and that baby launches you through the perfect 0-60 or quarter mile. Double clutching (even though you don't have to). Backing it into the space at the local Show & Shine, blipping the throttle and easing the clutch out. It usually takes me 5 minute to park just because I love making those sounds. Dancing.
Welcome aboard.
