No jeremiah, it is still ethanol, 2 carbons, but is made from other bio stuff besides corn. With ethanol you still need to replace the fuel system, ie. fuel lines(there are other components in the system as well needed to replace and depending on the car a different tuned map), because that stuff eats away at the current standard fuel lines. Butanol supposedly doesn't have that problem.

If this was butanol Jeremiah, they probably would have called it so. The ethanol producers have been working on this for a while. This stuff is superior to ethanol in everyway from what I can see.
