GM has already said that the firebird/trans am wont be back...the camaro's sibling car, on the zeta lite platform, is going to be the GTO.

Me too.... I think that concept works as a Trans Am better than the Camaro. Maybe Pontiac will do a better job on styling with this attempt at the GTO.

That T/A looks sweeeet! I agree with the other poster that stated if Daimler screws up the Challenger, I'm onboard! The picture of the black T/A is in the latest copy of Hot Rod Magazine.

Sometimes manufactures change their minds after their offical statements. Sometimes they lie in their offical statements so then they can catch their competitors off guard and surprise people. I think it is possible. They need to offer the Firebird because the GTO will not work the way they are marketing it. The upcoming GTO is a waste. The Firebird should be brought out instead.
