RE: Chrysler in talks with Hyundai
The one thing that is encouraging is that Cerberus said they didn't want to just sell off Jeep. They want to sell it as a whole company. I that as time goes on a better option arises.

RE: Chrysler in talks with Hyundai
GM really was cerberus' best option for getting rid of the whole company. But looks like GM isn't interested anymore, for now anyway (thank god). I think that selling off in pieces is cerberus' only chance. There is nobody who is going to want all of chrysler in this economy. And there's probably not anyone who can afford the whole thing anyway. Even if things improve who is going to want Dodge and Chrysler? Cerberus is stuck with them!!! The other thing I have heard is that Chrysler will go public when things get better and buy themselves back.

Going public would probably be the best option. I could see Magna International wanting Chrysler, the issue is raising the funds. They were looking at buying Chrysler from MB and I think they had the vision to pull it off. The type of person or company that would want Chrysler would be the type of person who has a vision on how to fix it and isn't afraid of the risks associated with it. Kirk Kerkorian might be a possibility in the financial department; however, I don't know if we would want that to happen.
