Our car has been sitting inside for the winter and are cracked. We have 1450 miles in it. My heart just sank last weekend when I went out back to check on it.

Went to dealer yesterday about my cracker rocker covers and they told me they hadn't seen or heard anything about them. I had printed out some of the comments ofthis forum and give them to them. They have ordered replacements and will install them at no charge to me. Covered under warranty. They also checked another Chally there and wouldn't you know it, it had cracks as well.

How many guys have gotten the rockers replaced? Did you just go to the service bay or body shop?

Got my rocker covers replaced yesterday. They appear to be a hair longer so maybe they will not shink and crack next winter, if it is the cold doing it. All covered under warranty and didn't cost anything other than my time. They are held on with 4 plastic rivets at the ends, plastic clips along the top end and 2 sided foam tape along the bottom edge. Noticed that the rockers them selfs are pumpped full of spray foam. How long till the hold moisture and starts to rust?

forgot to post up last week, checked mine on the weekend and nothing yet thankfully.

i wonder if we could get a database going to see whose have and havent cracked and what their date of manufacturer was. maybe it has to do with a certain run
of them from the supplying vendor.

so far i have 1760 miles ( 215 last weekend alone LOL) and they arent cracked.
my car was manufactured end of february.

Another forum ran a poll and 48% of all Challengers, so far, have cracked rocker panels. Three causes were cited: 1. cold weather, 2., 1/8" too short, and 3. improper lifting.

2008 SRT8 number 828, Passenger side behind the front wheel is cracked/split. The dealer order the replacement parts and is checking if it will be covered under warrantee since I only have 8,000 miles on the car.
