To move a backlog of 2007 Dodge Chargers, Chrysler has announced lifetime warranties for the engine and drivetrain for the original owners.

 

I think this has been expanded to the entire line and will include all future 2008 models. Just in time for my Challenger!

 

Not necessarily a good idea if you ask me, because many people will buy these with the intention of holding them to that. What they should do is offer a longer warrantee standard, say 150,000 mile warrantee. This will force them to make sure their models are reliable as can be to cut down on warrantee costs.
