I think Rush Limbaugh is right...we need to import liberalism to those countries. Get em unionized, set up multiple overlapping & contradictory government regulatory bodies, maybe some minority lobbying groups, etc...

We could bog them down with the same crap we deal with here.

The funny(not haha) thing is, Japan's quality methodology, the Kaizen events and all that good stuff, was brought to the American companies back in the 50's or 60's. I can't remember. I know Jeremiah knows what I am talking about as he posted here before about it. But the American companies were too arrogant and basically said we don't need this as people will buy American. Well they guy who came up with the idea, took it to Japan, where they accepted it and improved on it. Now, a lot of Companies here started using this methodology just recently. My last company used it, my current company does as well. If you are in the technical field and are looking at employment ads and you see the terms Black Belt or Yellow Belt for a tech job, they are referring to this quality procedure. I have been trained as a yellow belt.

Here is that post that maybe some of you missed on Japan's quality:

The problem that some of the Japanese manufactures have (Toyota and Nissan) is they are getting away from many of these points. The quality is falling. Tends happen in businesses in different stages in the companies lives. Toyota is getting very arrogant and it is going to catch up with them. Another thing to remember is that not all Japanese manufactures are known for such high quality. Mistubishi has had their problems as has Suzuki. The big three are not perfect but they are improving overall. I refuse to believe that the Japanese will stay on top forever.

Now that the muscle car comeback is such a big success, how about if the big three capitalize on their history and nostalgia even further by bringing out updated versions of the best cars from the 30's, 40's, and 50's? I personally would like that because I really don't like how a lot of the new cars look. I especially dislike the bizarre new cadillacs and the new camaro and other cars that look like that. Maybe it's time to bring back some beautiful classic curves.

Could you list a few that you would like to see bring out along with pics? Would the Imperial Concept be something you would like or hate?

I hate the Imperial concept car. It looks like something out of a batman cartoon.
It's so blocky and chunky. I always hated American cars with big, crude, blocky, chunky, boxy shapes.

If they were to bring back some truly classic cars, these are the ones I'd like to see:

1948 Tucker

1950 Ford

1953 'Fabulous' Hudson Hornet

1955 Chevrolet

1957 Ford

Also, the 1959 Chevrolet, but I ran out of room on sending pics.
