Ridiculous 0-60 time

RE: Ridiculous 0-60 time
My first car was a 1968 Chrysler 300 (440/350 hp) car my dad bought me. I had no clue about what it was-just kinda looked cool at the time, it was 100 bucks. You could pile 10 teenages in there and each give a buck for gas an blast off. Frankly I was a bit intimidated by that car, it was fast and kind of "floated". Just in my experience kids these days are so immature, they think its all about need for speed and etc. I hope he respects the car for its power and stays safe out there-lot of car for a teenager!

I dunno. I kinda feel sorry for the kid having to deal with a brand-new Challenger at age 16. He'll never have the fond memories of having driven some pile of junk that was built before he was born as his first car. Never have to pour his meager wages from working at a Vickers gas station down a rat hole. Never have to learn the back ways into the local junkyards to salvage parts late at night or on Sundays. Never have to wonder if will even start when he wants to go someplace. ...

(My frist car was a 1966 Charger that needed some body & interior work....was very nice were I traded it in...you learn a lot about cars when you have to fix-up $500.00 cars........)

Doesn't this story sound familular? The boy that said he owned a BMW M5 turned out it was his fathers car. He took his freinds out for a ride on a private airstrip in Florida. All of the them were killed.

Congrats to you bhud43. Just please be careful. I know its tempting having all that power, but just let your experience increase faster than your speed.
Guys try not to be too jealous. I'm happy for him that he has this opportunity, I just want him to respect it is all, and I'm sure you all agree with me on that.

I agree with RoswellGrey-how do you go up from there? How do really appreciate it? Some of my favorite cars have been ragged runners that I loved just because they were different (86 Ford Tbird Turbo coupe with transplanted 5.0 & 5 speed, 1974 Dodge Dart Sport (multi colors with 71 built 340 4 speed 8 &3/4 rear no PS no PB drums on all corners SCARY) What can you possibly want after having a brand new Hemi R/t at 16?
