It sure is quiet!!
Hey folks lets get fired up. Perhaps the folks at DCX are checking this site and others for the level of support before they make the business decision to build our dream car.
Lets show them we are for real. There is so much to talk about so lets get busy!!

I really think when it does come out it will be more than what I want to pay. If they come out with mass numbers, which sounds definately not, then the average person can probably get one for msrp. But with the numbers they are talking, It will be a dealers market.

I hope they realize that this is a car that will bring people to their dealerships; therefore, they need to mass produce. This is their chance to get a car that will appeal to people of all ages.

OK, what would you be willing to pay for the challenger? Lets say it had a 5.7L and a 6 speed. Well equiped with AC, windows and locks and your chice of paint. How much?

To be competitive with the Mustang, which it should be, that shouldn't be any more than around 30K, give or take a few hundred. While they might get away with charging a little more than the 'Stang, there are limits to what the general public (ie, non-Chrysler loyalists who will seriously consider this car) will pay. I'd be willing to pay a little more than that, but not by much. They need to keep this in mind when it finally sees production.

The Magnum and Charger are over 32k for the 5.7. I would think the Challenger would be the same in pricing since it will share the platform and most of the parts from these other cars. Now the 6.1 and maybe the 6.4 will be north of 40k. Would you still buy one, or would you get a V6??? Lets not forget that we're talkin 2-3 year in the future too, don't forget to figure in inflation.
