WOW! I bet you spent more on modding that than you would have if you bought it new.
And you'd be correct. But the fun of it is doing the mod and seeing the difference. Plus I enjoy messing around with those who challenge the big, 4-door sedan. Most of the guys here are faster than me, I'm sure, but I would compare favorably to another 4400-lb. sedan overall. Talk about a handicap! I'd love to shed 1000 lbs.!

I'm almost in the 13's without internal motor mods, so I think I'm doing okay. The only "meaningful" go-fast mods listed are the headers/intake/exhaust, PCM and gears.

Thanks for your interest!

Eric

mitsubishi..everything on the car has a little badge that says "genuine mitsubishi part"..much like the sebring coupes had the "diamond star motors"..they look the same and all, they just dont use the DSM name anymore...and in talking to people who have driven both the older dodge autostick, and the new mitsu autostick, the mitsu is far preferred, because there is no over ride...with, say, the 300M...if you put it in first gear, and run it to the rev limiter, it shifts..mine, just bounces off the rev limiter over and over until you manually shift it.

Sure! People who mod their cars are proud of them and want to tell others about them. I could tell you did something to your Caprice. Those are a very heavy car indeed, I know because my grandfather (the same one that had the parade car) had a 1995 4.3L model. Thanks for sharing.

That is what I thought. I haven't heard that typical Chrysler transmission chatter from the Stratus/Sebring coupe. Does the Mitsubishi autostick obey you when you want if you want it to shift early?

i can leave from a stop in 2nd gear...and i can get into 4th basically as soon as im moving....i dont have any noises from the tranny, but the 2nd to 3rd gear shift is very soft...but it has been forever...i would like if it shifted 2-3 as hard as it shifted 1-2, but if i would have gotten a stick, this wouldnt be a problem...

I can see why you guys like Mitsubishi autosticks better. They obey your commands not matter what the computer thinks. When it goes into 4th does the overdrive completely ingauge?
