What was your first NEW car?

RE: What was your first NEW car?
Mine was a 1998 Pontiac Sunfire...
My family is traditionally a GM family... my grandfather retired from GM. She my mother forced me to get a GM so I could get a discount... when I really wanted to Mitsubishi Eclipse that was sitting next to it. At least Mitsu is closer to a Dodge then Pontiac. Yuck.
But a few years later I traded my 1998 Sunfire in on my 1994 Dodge Ram whom I love to bits. Oddly enough, my family now mostly has DCX products:
Grandpa (who retired from GM) - 2006 Chrysler 300C Hemi
Aunt - Jeep Cherokee
Uncle - Chrysler Pacifica
Dad - OLD Jeep Comanchee
Me - All Dodges
My mother - Saturn Vue <--- YUCK YUCK YUCK!

My fist brand new car was a 2006 Eclipse. That thing started falling apart the day i drove it off the lot. I had it for 4 months and traded it off for a F150 4x4.

Patrick loves this.... my only brand new car was a 1980 Dodge Mirada. Silver, red velour interior, mighty slant six under the hood. Car was a jinx from the start. Had it for two months and had a minor mishap with a tree (left front fender); one month later, I got broadsided by a guy leaving a parking lot (left side of car); that winter, I slid off an icy road and took out a mailbox (with the left front corner of the nose); the following summer, had to have the left side repainted because the replaced sheet metal wasn't holding paint; The next winter, somebody backed into the driver's door in a parking lot; then, the final topper came on St. Patrick's day of 1982, when it burned up in a garage fire. Obviously, Patrick has had much better luck with his!

Ouch, how long did it take to fix that? And what did you all have to replace?

RE: What was your first NEW car?
My first new car was a 1970 Ford Pinto - Lime Green - 2 door, automatic. It was all I could afford at the time. Then I traded that in for a new 1974 Mustang GT, Blue too long ago don't remember the shade of blue.
