Default 20" HUB CAPS!

First I want to say I LOVE my 6spd RT, I can't get enough of it! With that said I have one major complaint, the 20" wheels are actually hub caps. Does anyone know what these wheels look like without the chrome caps? When washing today they feel like they have an actual wheel under th chrome plastic cap.

They are 20-inch chrome-clad cast-aluminum wheels, not hub caps they don't come off. It's a chrome plated plastic coating over an aluninum wheel.

yep, take a close look at the edge of the wheel, you can see where the "chrome" stops. Then flick the chrome with your finger. It doesn't feel or sound like any chromed metal wheel.

Yeah. A couple other people have also noted their plastic quality, Paladin.

I've never really gotten close to one sitting still. I need to swing by the local dealership and have a look.

Hub caps, what are those? Seems I remember hearing about them. Weren't they from the 1950's?

"Chrome Clad" it basically a hub cap. The only kinda cheesy thing on the whole car to me. I'll be looking for rims. Brilliant marketing on Dodges part! 995 for chrome covers that cost ohh about 25 bucks to make

Does the trunk lid have struts?
