Default RE: Small block T56?

I didn't think the T56 would bolt up to our 440 bellhousing. I hope someone will prove me wrong, because I have a brother's t56 tranny laying in the garage. I just never heard of anyone doing it, so I assumed it wouldn't fit.

I agree with you kelly, I would love to get the air ride 4 link set-up. That would make it a lot easier to put some big tires back there.

Lear, if you can afford it, definiatly get the 6.4L 6 speed. That would be an awesome setup, what like 525 underestimated hp 515 tq[sm=drooldude.gif]

Actually I found a site that had a pretty good deal on the 6.1. I have it stored some where, I just need to find it. Also Keisler offers a 6-speed trans for them. But I also ran across a stroker kit for a 340. I'm kinda on the wire as to what to do. It seems to change with the direction of the wind. I think the stroker motor advertised 500 ponies at the crank. But you have to use the aluminum heads they suggest and the cam. My brother works at a machine shop" Kannapolis Engine Shop "and they seem to do good work. I have a 3.0 twin cam and two 2.6 turbo motors we are in the process of having done now. But living in the heart of NASCAR country, with so many racing shops close by. We can find some good shops to help us out. Friend of a friend kind of thing. And a nice shop near Mooresville that sells obsolete and used racing parts. So the options are endless.

I thought the keisle tranny was a 5 speed? Unless they recently updated it, I spoke with them last year about their set up at carlisle. Don't get me wrong, I would much rather have a 6 speed versus a 5, or even the 4 speed.

You definitly have a lot of performance shops by you. I'm afraid to take my car to any shops, because you just can't trust too many people anymore, it a shame.

McDonald,
The car I have does have th e8 3/4 rearend in it, but I did have to buy a center console and will have to buy the pistol grip. I bought a console that was broken and I molded it back together, and unless to get within inches of it, you cannot tell that it was repaired.

jdb840 the 6-speed is a swap in for the new Charger and if it fits the Chargers 5.7-6.1s. That way the guys who wanted a 6-speed in the new Chargers can get the swap. Direct bolt in they say. So I think that the 6.4 will be a nice addition to the lineup. I'm not sure if they offer it for the LA small blocks or the old mopar big blocks, but I should go to the site and see if they do.

That 8 3/4 will suite the 440 well as long as you dont go too radical on it then Dana is the option.
