New Guy
New here, dropping in to say hi. Found this site as I was looking around online for some information on the 09 Challenger. I am undecided between buying an 09 Challenger R/T or 2010 Camaro SS for my next new car. I really like the look of the new Challenger. I never thought I would have an inclination to ever again buy another new American car after all the junk they put out over the years until I saw the Challenger and Camaro concept cars a couple years ago at the Cleveland auto show and it got my heart racing. I think it's great GM and Dodge are making them and I hope they survive. Cool site fellas!

Welcome
Go test drive a new Challenger and you will stop all consideration of the Camaro. Or you can read a few of the threads in this forum and it will be easy to see how we all feel. Seeing gets the desire going, but after you driven one, it will be hard to believe you were ever uncertain about which to purchase. It's like having the car you always dreamed about in high school but can now afford with all the bells and whistles, performance and looks[sm=shades.gif]
When the snow clears - I'm sure you will be ready to make a decision.. Good Luck

And hopefully by the time the snow clears we'll all have a better idea about the future of both Chrysler and GM. Right now, that would be a serious part of my consideration.

From what I know or think . The Chrysler 300 was designed under the owner ship of Mercedes. The Challenger was in the work's then also. And parts from the 300 and Charger make up the base of the new Challenger . I've had several GM cars' . The last new one was a 83 Monte Carlo SS . A factory rep told me he hoped I never bought GM again. And I haven't And that has been many new car's and truck ago. I love my new 09 Challenger R/T 6 speed. Drive one and if you don't like it wait till the Camero come's out if it ever does. The Mustang isn't a bad car . But not a Challenger .

RE: New Guy
If you want to stand out...go Challenger, if you want to follow the herd...buy the new Camaro.....
The Challenger is more retro and true to the front generation................unlike the new Camaro
