I think it would be awesome to have all the original engine options for the new Challenger. I'd love to see a Slant-six, 318, 340, 360, 383, 392, 413, and 426, in all options, and the 440 SixPak as well.

Well the 392 or 413 were never offered in the Challenger, and the other engines have been out of production for decades (except the 318 and 360, but even they've been gone for a few years now), so that (thankfully) ain't gonna happen.
With all of the advancements in power and fuel economy that today's engines have... why in the HELL would you want some prehistoric dinosaur of an engine like a Slant 6 that can't get out of its own way in something like a new Challenger? There's a good reason as to why these engines aren't around today.
There's a such thing as being TOO nostalgic.

I agree that it would be cool to have these engines back, but I think you realize that it will never happen. Dodge presently has a 2.5 V6, a 3.5 V6, a 5.7 Hemi, and a 6.1 Hemi. It is also working on a 4.7 and a 6.4. Why would they go throught the time and expense to retool and get these old engines emissions-certified?
