I just looked at 40 detailed pics of the red camaro concept. These pics were sharp close ups of the car. As I was looking at them, I realized that the Camaro concept is exactly that, a concept. Not much of the concept will make it to production. the production model will be a watered down version of the concept. There are many features that are not cost effective or realistic. There are to many to list but I would compare that to the mustang concept. The production version of the mustang is very watered down. The v6 models look very cheesy to me. The gt version looks good but just not close enough to the awesome concept. I do appreciate the fact that the mustang is a great price for a muscle car and ford could have made the mustang more like the concept but that would have made the price much higher.

I truely believe that the concept Challenger will keep most of its features. When looking at the car, it is hard to pic out features that may need to be removed for cost, changed because of productions complecations or whatever. I hope the b-pillar is not incorporated into the car for strength. Obviously, the rims will change and they wont be 20's or whatever. 18's, probably like the other srt8's.

The GTO concept looks very over the top also. I hope we can get some production Challenger spy shots soon. They have to start testing the car soon if they are not already! The challenger is expected to be in showrooms in one year. Lets get some spy pics!!!!!

Don't get your hopes up that they will make the Camaro more attractive looking. Remember which company made the Aztek. They will make ugly cars. They have proven that many times.

Also, the other SRT-models also have 20-inch rims, not 18-inch. The R/Ts have 18 inch if that is what you meant.

It'll be interesting to see how open Dodge is when the Challenger production models are undergoing their various tests. A company here in San Antonio does some of that work for manufacturers, driving the test cars around downtown in the late afternoon and evening. When the '05 Mustang was being tested, the car I pulled up right next to with my '00 Mustang was decked out in camouflage paint and had coverings over both the front and rear ends. It was being excorted by a pair of '04 Mustangs, so with my car driving along side, it made for an interesting procession for a couple blocks. When the Charger was being tested, however, there was no attempt to hide its appearance, and the Dodge was being driven around unescorted. Naturally, I corrected this oversight by driving with it for several blocks. Hopefully, I'll get to see a Challenger and try to get some pics of it.

Reminds me of a few years ago when the Porsche Boxter was on the road in Phoenix. I'd see 5-6 of them all driving around in a line.

Frankly, i'm trying hard to forget the Sema Chally. I love street leagal muscle and seeing the chally as a drag car didn't do it for me. i would have rather seen a blown SS Chally with hemi striping, street rims, bigger hood and a spoiler and or ground effects. Just my opinion.

I am a fan of stock vehicles and love to see older muscle cars restored to their original look rather than have a bunch after market mods done to them like flame jobs, goofy flat screens, and 12 X boxes stuck in them. I think it bastardizes the original design and adds a lot of superfluous crap. Kind of like taking a beautiful woman and putting too much makeup and too much jewelry on her. I respect that everyone has different tastes...mine is clean and strong. That's why the Challenger concept appeals to me. (I am not opposed to sticking a beefy engine in if I can retain the stock appearance though)[sm=pimp.gif]

Are the Azteks still in production? I remember seeing some concept sketches of the Aztek when I was taking night classes at Art Center. The Aztek was a really cool idea, and had lots of neat gizmos. The design was actually inspired from the Aztek pyramids. It's just sad that in transition from sketchpad to showroom floor, the car ended up looking like uhhhh, well, you get the picture...

No the last year model was the 2005 model. The Torrent has taken over the position. The Aztek looks like a Pontiac Montana that went through a front and rear crash test.

So it wasn't originally supposed to look so ugly? Do you have pics of what it was supposed to look like?

I know a company here in Mexico that used to produce the frames for those AZtec models.... a friend of mine that's working with them told me it was a huge disappointment since they decide to pull back the project while ago.

IN other news... for work I visited a crank manufacturer down the center of Mexico, they produce the crank for the Charger and seems they're bidding for the Challenger.... hope I can get some info from him.
