Way back when I had a 61 Corvair that I made some headers for and bolted Cherry Bombs to. THey were bolted directly onto the collector and because of the short run, the end of the muffler was the tailpipe. I bolted on Chrome tips to make it a bit flashier looking. The sound was totally awesome (ok as great as you can get from a Corvair 6) and it sure did turn heads until people saw it was a Corvair.

Actually didnt look too bad at all. I had cutout the rear valance so that the chrome tips were higher then underneath the valance. They gave the car some extra kick as well. I had replaced the single barrel with a rochester four barrel and with the headers and free flowing exhaust it ran like a raped ape.
