Wow! I'm bright like the sun. The same picture I was referencing. DOAH!
And that's all carbon fiber? Being lazy here but what was the weight of the original?

Take a look here regarding weight: https://dodgechallenger.com/forums/fb.asp?m=3089
This article also talks about weight: "Old but interesting news...see comments on LY platform" https://dodgechallenger.com/forums/fb.asp?m=9018
My biggest gripe about those muscle cars has no merit but they were heavy and some were over 4000 lbs. Compared to
say a 2006 Mustang at 3373 lbs., 2006 Corvette at 3130 lbs as a reference.
I did add all 50 cars and the average weight was 3520 lbs. of course that also includes 3 of the cars in the 2000 lbs range and one was 2200 lbs so that tends to skew the data.
The Challenger concept car was 4160 lbs but I believe most of it was carbon fiber. I hope with the shorter LY platform the overall weight will go down significantly.
I would love to have the Challenger come in at around 3500 lbs but that is wishful thinking.

I think there are more factors that just the hp to weight ratio. Consistency of power is also important, efficiency of the transmission, gearing of the transmission, and many other factors have to be taken into account. I say let's wait until it comes out to see what is truely faster.

Yeah, I think i skimmed that casually once before.
This time, I really put some thought into it. So the LY platform will be the same for coupes and sedans in relation to the shorter wheel base? Is this true?
If so, kind of interesting when it comes to cabin volume and leg room for the back seats of the 300. Writing of leg room, makes me think of the intrepid's back seat. That was such a well designed car with a cavernous back seat area. And I really think chrysler knocked it out of the park w/ this design. I still think both gens of this run were beatiful. The second gen was jaw dropping beautiful and has aged imho extremely well.
