ok heres a big question. Not wanting to tell the dealer how much I want to put down etc I am going the route of factory order. At the end of this month I want to put money down and order it. Would i then be able to put more down when it arrives or am i screwed on that aspect
More than likely, the dealer will just hold your check (not cash it) till the car arrives. At that point, you do whatever you want: Put more money down and finance the rest or simply pay the car off. Fortunately, I was able to just pay mine off.

Good. Now I know I can save the money for when it arrives and put more down. Now if the VA would have given me the the correct amount of backpay I would be able to pay it off but at least I am still getting one. Already got a place lined up for a good deal to install full window tint security system and then across town to have the exhaust put on. All I have to do is decide the ultimate question, what type to get.

Also been buggin the dealer to find out perspective release dates or even a price quote for the T/A style hood featured in the Mopar catalog but no one seems to be budging on this one. Since I am going the route of factory order, it would be nice to get that installed so I dont have to do it later on.

Most checks are only valid for a certain number of days after the check date. Mine cleared the bank immediately when I put my initial deposit down in February 2006.

I don't think that's true of personal checks, choodock.

I think it all depends on the financial institution and their finance office (dealer). When I purchased my Srt-10 back in 06 the check I wrote was debited from my account the following day, yet when I purchased my Daytona (ram) back in 05 it took almost two weeks for the check to clear the bank and it was the same bank.
