Trans Shifter bypass

I was wondering, I have been reading a biot on the transmission shift bypass. Is this for hemi auto's or all auto's in general?? anyone installed this item?

If you"re referring to the skip shift bypass it applies only to manual trasmissions.

ahhhh so this is sort of like a 2nd gear lock out type of thing, preventing the car from powering up so to speak and pull away?
