Awesome idea Doozle, but it's way over my price range.

If money wasn't an option, it would be a tough choice between the new and old hemi.

I've also been eyeing the musclemotors 500ci crate motor. After someone else mentioning it to me, I remember reading an article in mopar muscle about their motors. So many choices to choose from, at least I have a couple more months before I'm ready to pick one.

I spoke with 440source yesterday about the short block, and now I see on the webpage that they are offering a deal if I buy the short block there throw the heads in for $599.

More than likely I'll going to buy this, and in a couple of months buy a complete roller set up of the motor. That should put me well above what I'm shooting for hp wise.

Ordered ^^^ on 4/27.

Now the build begins

Update

I finally finished purchasing all of the parts. For my drivetrain I went with huges engines flat tappet cam 110 LSA 232/237 and 1.5 roller rockers. I decided against the roller cam for cost reasons and it wouldn't net me much more power. I'll be measuring the pushrod lenght once everything arrives.

Hopefully in the next couple of months I should be ready to drop it in
