72 challenger ignition lost key how to replace?
I bought a new lock kit but I called a locksmith and he said you need the key to take out the ignition is this true if not anyone know how to change? thanks

 

any competant locksmith can cut you one from their master set it will cost you a bit more to have them come to you but you dont really need to change the whole ignition.

 

I think you should call a local car locksmith.They will definitely solve your problem.

 

A few years ago, I locked myself out in a parking ramp. When I called the locksmith(Thanks AAA), he showed up with a big box of Chrysler keys! Apparently they only make, or made about 200 different keys.
He just started putting keys into the lock until one worked! I am absolutely not lying.
I don't think they do the same thing anymore, but I wonder............
