it doesn't matter if it's a Ram, Caliber, or Challenger. When ordering opens on a New model we order "in the dark". We want them in inventory so we order them how we want them equipped for our customers or our preference. Hope that helps.

I finally did it, after two years of research, planning, and drooling over photos!

I just placed an order for a 2009 SRT Challenger (Hemi-orange). The dealer is splitting the mark-up between invoice and MSRP. Deposits are $500. There is no pricing yet, but this deal was too good to pass up. Production of the 2009s should start in August.

I live 800 miles from the dealership but it will either be dropped shipped to my local Dodge dealer or will be delivered in an enclosed trailer (for about $500) by the dealer if he gets another order in my area.

It's been 2 years since I first saw the concept car. I think being on this web site and talking to you guys about the Challenger helped make the time go by pretty fast. I know, now that I actually ordered the car, the next 5-6 months are really going to drag. [sm=smiley6.gif]

I just placed my order for a 2009 SRT8 no/nav package 15 minutes ago. No pricing available. Car will have to be shipped to AZ. I have a written guarantee that the car will sell at MSRP and no deposit was required. VON number to be provided this evening.

My local dealer wanted to order me one.
I told him when I see the car on the lot then I will buy it....
When you order the car,you still might not see it unless they are making 100,000 of them....
Also I am sure if you look around when the dealers start to get them in,you
will be able to get the car at INVOICE...
I really don't care about how hotttt the car is.....Gas will be around $5 then lol
I would call every salesmanager up and tell them you want the car at Invoice.
Many will say noooo,but you will have a few that will say YES
Never deal with a salesperson(salespeople come and go}
Talk to the salesmanager ONLY....
Yep I got my Friend a Shelby 500 at Invoice and another friend a Z06 $300 above invoice.
I got my 2006 Stang Gt at invoice when dealers were still marking these cars up.......
Sooooo I would wait till the dealers start getting them in,unless you want to get very annoyed waiting

I have to wonder.... while waiting for my 2008, If I placed an order for the 2009 what car will I see first.
Bet they wont have much of a pause between production years

Geeeee I have friends that have ordered a 2008 Challenger in the 1st hour of ordering......
Some are still annoyed not getting any dates or info on the car
Some others are annoyed saying that the dealer will not be able to get the car,,,but
they are happy to sell the Dealership car at $5000 over Msrp.....
In the next few months we will see how many Happy or Uphappy people........
I think Most will never see the car they ordered
and many will lie telling you that they already have theirs.(they are salespeople}
I hope I am wrong butttttttt we will see in June how many unhappy people there are?
