Jeff, that's awesome. I'm suspecting they leaked an inflated price to worry everyone and make the announcement have that much more impact. Now all they have do is offer a stick for the SE for a grand more as well.

They are going to sell a ton.....

Oh boy, I'm excited. I was hoping they would put the R/T right at 30K, but I thought that was wishful thinking on my part. Interesting that the 09 price goes up significantly for the SRT.

Including Destination + Gas Guzzler that puts the MSRP at:

2008 MSRP: $40,095
2009 MSRP: $42,095

Tack on the $1,195 for the SRT Option Group II package (AY2) to bring the 2009 up to the same 'standard options' as the 2008 and that yields:

2008 MSRP: $40,095
2009 MSRP w/AY2 SRT Option Group 2: $43,290

Consider the $800ish 6-speed package and I'm not really saving any money at all on dropping my '08 order that I had previously..... dang.

Look at it this way, Venthos: You'll have a much newer car.

I hate to say it but you should of saw that one coming Venthos.... Why would they offer the same car the next year for the same price and give you a 6 speed for no charge... You do remember this is a limited trim right??? Sorry bro but you'll at least have your stick.

I already knew a while ago the 6 speed was a $800 addon. My point is this. If you get a fully loaded 08 and match it up to anequally equipped 09. Same exact options, nothing different about them. With the new pricing, it works out like above. The 2008 has the SRT Group II package as standard, so you need to tack it onto the 2009 to get an equivalent car.
