Well I've just about given up on ordering , placing a deposit ,or buying a 2008 Challenger . So I'm asking if anyone has any news as to when the dealers may start taking orders for the 2009 models? If no one knows anything now, like the dealers tell me now, then I would greatly appreciate it if you do hear something as to a start ordering date to please contact me, thanks a lot guys, Locomotion ...... I don't think any of us has the foggiest idea.. maybe after the NY show they might have some more info then. Still wishing you luck though!

 

I agree wait for a couple of weeks and you should know a lot more about configurations, pricing and when to order.

In the Mopar Starparts catalog (for dealers), the racing gas cap is listed as $639 (Part # 5112873AA).

Lol, i remember that happened with the Viper too. A gas cap for a Gen 2 GTS is similar money, but you can get a nice polished aluminium cap with an engraved snake head logo for around $200 and a nice matt black finish cap for slightly less. Aftermarket will take care of these things. (reason i know is i have a black 99 gen 2 in my showroom for sale just now lol!)

 

Heard through the pipline that dealers can start ordering 09's April 21... but there is a push going on to try to get that date moved to April 7th..

 

Just ask those of us waiting since December 3rd, it doesnt really matter when Dodge allows orders into the system..you still get to wait (and wait, and wait...)

 

That would be a neat birthday surprise for me.
