hope they push the date up. The sooner the better. I called my dealer again last night and she had no idea when the order date would be (big surprise) but I wanted to find out how things would go down once that day hit. I was assured that on order day I would be one of the first orders placed and would have one of the first 09 Challengers to arrive. But that doesn’t mean anything until order day and until the car is in my hands...

 

I understand the dealers should be hearing more about the 09's this month sometime, including options. I would assume that means that they will begin taking orders shortly thereafter, maybe later this month. Here's hoping for all you guys and gals waiting to get one.

 

the Chrysler zone rep was at the dealership today...couldnt give me any info on build dates..thought they would start building the '08's "this month"... oh well...the wait continues...

 

I really don't understand why they aren't promoting this vehicle a bit more. I suppose they figure once they hit the streets that will be promotion enough, but that will be awhile yet, unfortunately.

 

I agree, they just seem to be stumbling on the communication front. They finally have a great car that the public and press (so far) are all over and the Dealers do not have a clue on next steps??? I've talked to 3 different ones about '09 ordering and they knew less than me - still thought '09s were only auto and the same 3 colors. Crazy, what would some time frames and "basic" info hurt?

 

What is the expected date the 09 will actually be hitting the showrooms??? My personal timeline is about this this time next year to be able to buy one. I have to pay off my Dakota daily driver and figure out how to sheet a downpayment for a Challenger.
I will have to finance it for a long term but since its going to be a garage car I dont care. I just want a SRT8 with a 6.4[:@] before Chrysler goes tits up.

 

Come on guys, let's try to at least read these threads or do a search on the forum.

The same questions keep getting asked with a few days.

Just wait until the NY show later this month.
