I started my Black # 5236 today and no smoke. It's raining here in Maryland today. So my garage queen will stay indoors. Having less than 300 miles on the car I have driven her per Chrysler instructions, while not exceeding 50 mph for the first 500 miles. On occasion I have had the speedometer up to 70 mph for just a very short burst. Thanks to everyone in the forum for their advice.

Uh oh, did you know that electronic devices operate on blue smoke?
Once that blue smoke escapes, the electronic devices no longer work.
Maybe your audio system is leaking blue smoke into the exhaust.

I've never noticed this and i've put about 550miles on my 2008. I didn't get told to drive no faster then 50 , just to "be easy" for the first 300 miles and I was , and now after 500 I juiced it a few times on the expressway today and am starting to drive more normally. But blue smoke ? It may have something to do with the stuff in the engine that's not regular oil.

RUBBERBNDMAN man nailed it. I spoke with a tech today about this issue since I had experienced it and read it here. He too said it's normal for the first couple 100 miles but be sure to get it documented at the dealer. Also, letting these cars sit for a week and seeing smoke or hearing tapping when you first crank them is normal so crank them often and run them like you stole them. His words, not mine.

I drive mine everyday have only smoke coming from tires.
Parking your cars for a week and starting them is not so good.
There is a pre oiler you can get installed that will pump oil to top of motor before you start it.
After sitting all oil drains to pan..longer it sits, dryer the parts get.
If you dont want to do the pre oiler SLICK 50 it.
Andre...HELP! I know he will have in put on this.
