RE: Burning Questions?
My ESTIMATES & SPECULATIONS...
40,000 the first partial model year... Then 80,000 the following model year... Later #s depend on sales
4.0L V6, 5.7L Hemi V8, 6.1 Hemi V8, 6.4 Hemi V8, X.X Hemi V8 (5.7 & 6.1 in 2008, 4.0 & 6.4 added in 2009, X.X later)
Autostick and 6-speed manual
Yes on some models
Yes on some models
Yes... Several
Yes on some models
Yes on some models
Yes, but with some changes
Yes on rear, ??? on front
Primarily vintage "Hi-Impact" 1970s colors, with a few modern ones as well
Yes on some models
$30K for 5.7, $37K for 6.1... later 4.0 for $25K, 6.4 for $40K... much later X.X for $46K
Well, those are my guesses...
1. How many will be produced the first year (i.e., dealer availability)?
2. What will be the engine options (especially the SRT)?
3. What types of transmissions will be offered?
4. Will the hood scoops be functional like the concept car?
5. Will a racing-style gas cap be incorporated into the design?
6. Will there be more than 1 striping option (i.e., hood or side)?
7. Will the front and rear tires be different sizes like the concept car?
8. Will the car have hood pins?
9. Will the interior look as cool as the concept car?
10. Will front and rear spoilers be incorporated into the design?
11. What colors will be offered?
12. Will a shaker hood be an option?
13. And most important, what will be the MSRP?
Well, those are my guesses...

RE: Burning Questions?
$49 K yikes. That means low 50's by the time you get out the door. Too much in my book for a Dodge, sorry but Ill take the BMW 335i TT for $15K less , add the VINSHU STG 1 pkg, smoke the Challenger and call it a day.

Why don't we just wait until we actually see what the price will be and then make the adjustments as to how each of us will proceed. As for buying another car just to smoke the Challenger, add enough money and mods to most anything will result in smoking the Challenger. But I will be buying the new Challenger and if you see me on the street, feel free to test the waters... I won't be stock!

I'm already disapointed that there is going to be a b-piller, but not at all suprised. I'm just glad they're not changing it to something totally different from the concept car, like they did with the Charger.

Dont count your chickens until they hatch. It would suck if they changed anything from the concept to production. Still wouldnt shock me. but it might stop me from buying one.

RE: Burning Questions?
I think the butterfly valves will be there. It's not a very complicated setup & they really do not do anything substantial in terms of air intake. Looks cool though...I hope they do stay.
