Birddog

Are you saying that I am wrong??? Read some of my posts and ask a few of the peeps on this site and then give me your opinion.

It may not be correct. But I have yet to see the Challenger's starting to show up in the showrooms in volume. Maybe everyone that is getting them is keeping quiet about them.

ORIGINAL: 04RAMSRT10

Are we sure this is correct information? Sounds like another pile to me.

Hmmmmm...I'd go with the BUDMAN!

I'm sure they will get some geniuses to figure out a fix, probably within a few days or so, and everything will be fine. I think this is just a hiccup.

Actually you may remember me posting 2 weeks ago that my Chrysler Financial rep was telling me that his best friend worked on the keyless go ignition on the Challenger and they were having all kinds of communication problems at the time.

I hoped they had it resolved but this sounds related to me ? Budman has been right in the past but let's hope this is very very temporary !

I have no reason to doubt BUDMAN.
For those who don't believe him, and if there's no official word from Dodge by then, another site (will remain unnamed) is having an SRT chat forum in less than two weeks. Since ALL of the '08 Challengers are SRT8's, the engineers in that chat would most likely be able to lend credence to or dismiss the information posted at the top of this thread.

Glad I waited for the '09 with the TREMEC.......

Doesn't it seem odd that Dodge is, supposedly, having problems with the auto trans? This DCX unit has been in use 3 years in the Charger SRTs and 300Ms. Why is this electrical problem now surfacing?

Also, just to add to the rumors, someone posted on another forum that the problem was with the dashboard.

It may be the same system, but it is a different car. They have to change things a bit, even if it doesn't seem like much, I can very well be.

Yeah, there's really no need for everyone to get torqued up. I didn't interpret anyone accusing anyone of lying. I believe there was just other conjecture. Until we have irrefutable facts, it is based on speculation and hearsay.

I'm not going to try to placate anyone who has an 2008 on order, as I don't have the emotional investment in this, so I can't empathize completely, but calm down everyone. Let's keep it peaceful, guys.
